After a fantastic 2017 season, the BCRL Premiership trophy was awarded to Valley warriors at a heavily spectated BCRL Grand Final. Losing only once in the 2017 season to the Minor Premiers, Kelowna Roosters, the Valley Warriors were out to exact revenge in their bitterly close clash only 2 weeks prior.

Unfortunately the Grand Final, that was set to be the biggest in BCRL history was not to be. Whilst personnel and field closures saw an agonizing end to the season, a display of comradery and friendship saw the various clubs of the BCRL come together to provide a formidable opponent on the day.  The 2017 Valley Warriors showed their unrivaled commitment to each other and the game of Rugby League in the province and are deserved winners of the 2017 Premiership cup!
