CANADA UNVEILS SQUAD TO TOUR JAMAICA

Coach Ben Fleming today unveiled his squad to tour Jamaica in a historic first for Caribbean Rugby League.

The historic game will take place on 26 August, at the University of West Indies in Kingston.

Fleming, who took the reins of the Wolverines in 2017, is confident his squad has what it takes to beat the Jamaicans at home stating; “We’re moving forward as a Rugby League nation, no more egos. Our players, veteran and rookie alike, are beginning to understand the enormous honour bestowed upon them to play for Canada and will rise to the occasion.”

The Wolverines, who won only one of their internationals last year have a lot to prove. CRLA Vice President, David Graham remarked, “2017 is a watershed year. There is no 2017 World Cup for the Wolverines, so our rebuild begins here. We have a unique opportunity to get things right, fill the gaps and earn our spot in the Rugby League world”.
